 Extending
The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury theatrical experience
comes an all-new a 30 minute animated visionary extension
by world renowned animator Peter Chung, the genius behind
Aeon Flux and The Animatrix.
The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, an all-new vision
of the Riddick universe. When Riddick is captured by
bounty hunters, he must battle soldiers of fortune and
vicious creatures in the lethal slaughter cells of a
massive starship. Riddick's night vision and ruthless
combat skills are all that stand between him and a fate
literally worse than death.
The sci-fi action adventure DVD serves as the pulse-pounding
bridge between the story of Pitch Black and leading
up to this summer’s highly anticipated film event, The
Chronicles of Riddick, starring Vin Diesel who reprises
his role of anti-hero Riddick.
Peter Chung exploded into the world of animation in
1991 with the MTV debut of Aeon Flux.
Chung is utilizing similar animation techniques with
Dark Fury which involves the dual technique of hand-drawn
animation as well as painted backgrounds, which are
colored and composited digitally to achieve a look similar
to traditional cell animation. The characters and props
are animated entirely by hand, without the aid of rotoscoping
or computer models.
