Fall
TV Preview
by Kelly Hoffman
Well the Summer of Sci-Fi is over and it is back to school.
Along with school comes the new fall TV line up and this year
appears to have quite an array of science fiction in the mix.
UPN
will offer up Buffy
the Vampire Slayer returning to Tuesdays at 8pm. New
network but hopefully the same great show. Buffy premieres
October 2nd. Also coming from the old WB line is Roswell,
which will join Buffy on UPN Tuesdays this fall. Star Trek
returns to UPN this Fall with a fifth series. This one is
simply title Enterprise
and will not carry the Star Trek name. Enterprise
begins its new journeys Sept 26th and will air Wednesdays
at 8pm. UPN also serves up Special
Unit 2 Wednesdays at 9pm.
FOX
will bring back all our favorites: Futurama,
The
Simpsons,
The X-Files and Dark
Angel. And new this fall they bring as a live action
version of The
Tick Thursdays at 8:30pm, which premieres November
1st. Another new show that looks promising is 24, Tuesdays
at 9pm.
After
giving up two of its shows to UPN the WB
returns this fall with a slimmer lineup. Charmed
will be back minus one witch and so will Angel
(there go the Angel/Buffy crossover shows). New this fall
will be a young Superman in Smallville
airing Thursdays at 9pm.
Witchblade
should be returning with new episodes as well on TNT.
NBC
- Slim pickin's here....nothing new in the sci-fi/fantasy
vein just your standard comedies and dramas.
ABC
steps up to bat with Alias
airing on Sundays at 9m. What is the X-Files fan to do?
CBS
is bringing us two new shows to check out this fall. The
Agency on Thursdays and Wolf
Lake on Wednesdays both at 10pm...perfect for those
who watch shows on UPN or WB.
As summer ends so will the summer fill in shows so if you
have not yet checked out FOX's Night
Visions or WB's Dead
Last (or even VH1's
Strange
Frequency) there are precious few episodes left.
With so many great shows returning and new shows on the horizon
how is one to know what to do...Check your local
listings and set your VCRs!
