STAR
TREK: NEMESIS ACTION FIGURES
These figures are pretty cool. First, let me tell you Art
Asylum has not used the terrible rubber body suits that the
had used for their Enterprise figures (which in my opinion
ruined the entire series of figures...especially the deluxe
figure. How in the world are they supposed to sit in their
bridge stations?). They do, however, use is in the two aliens
robes. Which will allow a little more freedom in leg movement.
Again Art Asylum has used the technology of Gentle Giant
to do full body scans of the actors to get true to life action
figures and it shows. The figures look darn good.
Each figure sports approximately 14 points of articulation
with that cool neck joint (perhaps my favorite feature). Included
with each figure is the Art Asylum trademark coin. This time
in blue (has anyone seen different colors of these...just
wondering). Unlike the Enterprise figures this series has
had a major trimming of the accessories. I was not a big fan
of the extra hands but did like all the other goodies. Picard
has a phaser, Data a tricorder, Shinzon a knife and Viceroy
a staff. We went from tons to one each. Come on Art Ayslum.
You already had the phaser made why not add one to Data's
list of toys? And why not make a B9 head as an accessory for
Data? (need an image I will scan the trading card). If only
they had made a smaller scale figure instead of the 7"
figures. How cool would it have been to have a scale version
of that dune buggy Picard is driving in the film for the figures
to ride?!?
Right now there is only 4 figures in the Nemesis line they
are:
