Award-winning science fiction writer Poul Anderson, who dreamed
up a mind-boggling array of possible futures in more than
100 novels and short stories, died at his home of cancer,
his family said on Thursday. He was 74.

Jay and Silent Bob film in hot water with GLAAD. GLAAD (Gay
and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) is fighting back
against gay jokes in Kevin Smith's new film. Scott Seomin
of GLAAD said that, "Kevin will include a brief comment during
the end credits of the film, indicating that use of the film's
anti-gay slurs in real life is not acceptable" .

One of this century's biggest slackers, Kevin Smith, director
of Chasing Amy, Clerks, and the new Jay and Silent Bob Strike
Back was recently quoted in the New York Times saying he may
sue Tim Burton over the ending of the new POTA film's ending.
Smith says it was strikingly similar to an image from one
of his comics.
