Ooze family with his bad-mannered brothers, Slurp
and Blurp, always making fun of poor Sigmund.
Join Sigmund Ooze as he runs away from his family’s
cave at Dead Man’s Point, leaving behind his brothers
as well as his selfish and inconsiderate parents,
and heads into the real world. Sigmund is not
homeless for long; he soon befriends two human
brothers named Johnny and Scott Stuart (Johnny
Whitaker and Scott Kolden) who keep Sigmund in
their backyard clubhouse. The Stuart boys do their
best to hide Sigmund from Slurp and Blurp, who
take every chance they can to steal Sigmund back.
Premiering in 1973, SIGMUND AND THE SEA MONSTERS

Brothers Johnny & Scott Stuart take in a sea
monster named Sigmund after he is ostracized by
his family for being insufficiently scary.
2. Puppy Love Still a stranger
to the human world, Sigmund falls in love with
a dog named Fluffy. Back at Dead Man’s Point,
a manpower crisis in the chore department results
in a scheme to lure Sigmund back by having Slurp
pose as Sigmund’s favorite pin-up monster, Diana
Demon.
3. Frankenstein Drops In When
Scott becomes trapped in the Ooze family cave,
Johnny disguises himself as Frankenstein’s monster,
every monster’s idol, in an effort to rescue him.
4. Is There A Doctor In The House?
An ailing Sigmund can only recover by eating the
food back at home—mashed eels, melted jellyfish,
and squid milk. Problem is, Slurp needs it too.
5. Happy Birthday Sigmund secretly
cleans their house for the Sheriff’s birthday
party as favor to the boys only to be kidnapped
by his sea monster brothers who force him to clean
their cave for Big Daddy’s birthday. The boys
rescue Sigmund, the birthday cake and the sheriff’s
presents, and clean the house just in the nick
of time.
6. The Nasty Nephew A visit from
Aunt Zelda’s obnoxious nephew Leroy goes awry
when he is kidnapped by the Oozes, who want to
claim him as a dependent on their income taxes.
7. Monster Rock Festival Johnny
and Scott must protect Sigmund from exposure after
he wins a songwriting contest on the radio. To
make matters worse, the Oozes need Sigmund back
to perform with them at the Monster Rock Festival.
8. Ghoul School Daze When the
Oozes are notified that at least one family member
must, by law, attend Ghoul School, committed truants
Slurp and Blurp attempt to bring Sigmund back
home. Meanwhile, Johnny and Scott have their own
academic explaining to do when the assistant principal
of their school pays a visit to Aunt Zelda.
9. The Curfew Shall Ring Tonight Curfews
are instituted by Sheriff Bevans and sea monster
Sheriff Shrek, and both are committed to enforcing
them. Sigmund, however, violates the curfew while
raising money to pay for a broken dish.

Oozes steal Aunt Zelda’s furniture, replacing
it with their own. While Sheriff Bevans looks
for the perpetrators, innocently assuming they
are human, Big Daddy reluctantly labors to live
up to his fancy new furnishings.
11. Make Room For Big Daddy Slurp
and Blurp fear the wrath of Big Daddy after they
break his shellivision, so they take refuge in
the boys’ clubhouse. Made crazy by their new tenants,
Johnny and Scott get Big Daddy to come scare Sigmund’s
brothers away. But then Big Daddy refuses to leave.
12. It’s Your Move The return
of the Stuart parents forces Sigmund to move back
home. He finds the cave deserted, unaware that
approaching tidal waves made his family evacuate
it.
13. Trigger Treat Sigmund pretends
his body is a costume so that he can go trick-or-treating
with Johnny and Scott.
14. Uncle Siggy Swings Sigmund’s
uncle falls in love with Aunt Zelda and romances
her.

bonds with a recently thawed dinosaur after a
recently thawed caveman bullies it.
16. The Wild Weekend A famous
movie star (Jack Wild, playing himself) does not
get the R&R he hoped for, thanks to Big Mama
and her runaway lobster.

amnesia, Sigmund believes himself to be Johnny
and Scott’s human brother.
