The 10th Annual Wizard World was kind of awesome. Here’s hoping these guys can help make the 15th just as good. But with headliners like Nathon Fillion and Karl Urban it should be good.
Wizard World, Inc. celebrates the 15th annual Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia, May 7-10, with an all-star celebrity lineup that includes Ben McKenzie and Robin Lord Taylor of the hit show “Gotham,” Nathan Fillion (“Castle,” Serenity /”Firefly”), Stephen Amell (“Arrow”), Karl Urban (Star Trek, The Bourne Supremacy), Hayley Atwell (“Agent Carter,” Captain America: The First Avenger), Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn), Penn Badgely (“Gossip Girl,” Easy A), Kelly Frey (The Flash), Katie Cassidy (“Arrow,” “Gossip Girl,” Michael Cudlitz (“The Walking Dead,” “Southland”) and dozens of others. The four-day pop culture extravaganza will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Center City Philadelphia.
Amell will attend on Saturday only; Urban is set to appear on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; the others above are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Other well-known Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia guests include Lacey Chabert ( Mean Girls, “Party of Five”), Frankie Muniz (“Malcolm in the Middle,” Agent Cody Banks), Scott Wilson (“The Walking Dead,” Dead Man Walking), Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights), Kevin Conroy (“Batman: The Animated Series,” “Justice League”), Lou Ferrigno (“The Incredible Hulk”), Jason David Frank (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”), Chris 51 (“Epic Ink”) and Joel Hodgson (“Mystery Science Theater 3000”).
Wizard World is also the home of the most creative comics artists and writers on the planet. In addition, all full-price Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia attendees will receive a limited edition exclusive variant cover “The Walking Dead #1” comic, drawn by one of Wizard World’s talented artist guests (to be announced shortly). Comics will be issued at registration while supplies last and VIP attendees will receive an additional black & white sketch version.
Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. The 10th of 27 events currently scheduled on the 2015 Wizard World calendar, Philadelphia show hours are Thursday, May 7, 3-8 p.m.; Friday, May 8, 12-7 p.m.; Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 10, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Wizard World Comic Con Philadelphia is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor and participate in the famed Wizard World Costume Contest on Saturday night.
