I am thinking that the folks at VW remembered little Katie and how the internet rallied around her when she was being bullied by classmates because Star Wars was for boys (so not true) when they came up with this concept. Especially since it appears to be a little girl under that Sith Lord attire. Even though officially they say it is a boy (shouldn’t we have been shown the owner of that doll in the pink room then).
